Sisters

My dad came down to ref a volleyball tournament at UCF, so Natalie came down with him. They both spent the night Friday and last night, but Dad was gone all day yesterday.

So, me and Nat did "Allison/Natalie" things. (I thought this picture helped explain "Allison/Natalie") We went to the Farmer's Market in Winter Park, only to find out it was really an art festival happening that weekend. We were a little disappointed, but got to look at some weird, cool art. We also got to look at different shops along Park Ave. Then we went to Whole Foods Market. I had never been there, but if it was closer to my house and I had more money, I would frequent it more often. It was kind of small and crowded. I bought some soy milk and 1.5 lb of organic coffee that was cheaper than Starbucks!
After stopping in to see our dad, we came home and bummed around, reading and then watching some movies that reminded us of high school: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars III, and Batman Begins. We didn't watch all of LOTR of course, only the parts we liked.
School begins tomorrow. I have to put together a project that I didn't get a chance over Spring Break because I had not powerpoint access. 6 weeks left...

Cavities

I went to the dentist, the first Monday of my Spring Break. What do we find? 6 cavities!! I had 2 filled on Monday, and 4 filled this morning at 6:45 am. A total of 5 hours of dental work done on my mouth. I was basically told to stop drinking soda...I am now giving up my beloved Diet Coke.

I will miss you Diet Coke. We had a good run!

One of my houses that I clean pulled out on me the other day. Not that I had a great monthly income, but it was nice extra money to use for groceries/gas/some rent. Now I am down to barely enough for gas and groceries for a month. I know that I won't starve, I know that I won't be run out of my house because I can't pay rent. God always has provided through really tough financial times. The past 2 years have been very tough financially, and I can't seem to fully release control over until it gets down to the wire, like it is now.
I read the book of Philippians today and it really spoke to my heart. We are going through it in RUF, and I haven't been able to go as much as I wanted, so I decided to read through it myself. The one verse that stuck out was Phil 1:12:
"Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel."
I know Paul was referring to being persecuted for his faith, being imprisoned, beaten, ridiculed, etc. It made me think about what I'm going through day to day and what I'm doing. Is my life as a college student advancing the gospel? Can it advance the gospel, and how can I do that? Just something to think about.

I can....'t

I cannot concentrate! I have a test this afternoon and my mind is in a million other places than where it needs to be. Could this be Spring Break fever? Or perhaps senioritis?
Two more 12 hour shifts this week at clinical, 2 houses to clean. Then I'm going home.
I want to go to the beach.

10614

Study....it seems like the story of my life. Although I could definitely study more, people tell me I study too much.
The weekend looks like it will be studying. I'm doing a walk for diabetes awareness for youth at school this Saturday with Julie. We will be walking it up for 3.1 miles.
Saturday, March 8, I will be running in the Jacksonville River Run a 15K. I'm excited. The most I have run in the past few months is 6 miles, just add 3 more and thats the River Run! I'll be number 10614, so keep an eye out for me!

Motivation

I need some motivation. As if graduating and working in a few months wouldn't be motivation enough. I need motivation to get through every day, doing what needs to be done, and feeling good about what I've accomplished for the day.
Not just motivation to do homework, but motivation to stick with my WW. Ever since Christmas I have struggled with keeping with the good eating habits and exercising. I like to exercise, but I like to eat even more. As if looking in the mirror and seeing 15 pounds less wouldn't make anyone keep at it. I don't know why it doesn't make me continue sometimes.
Enough, I have to work on a health promotion project about fat kids. The things I do in school...
