Natalie visited. We got pumpkins. Here we are at the patch!!

I love this cool weather we are having! The AC is off, windows are open...it is so nice. 47 degrees this morning, and it will only warm up (sadly). I wish I lived some place where the weather transitioned through 4 seasons, instead of 2. Hmmm...maybe this indicates a need to move. I have been a bit restless regarding where I live recently. My job is holding me back, and maybe a fear of going some place where I don't know anyone.

I have the day off...so nice! Yesterday was the best day at work, probably because I knew I had today off! I wanted to be there, and I can't say that about every day.

I am so glad the weekend is here and my work week is over. It was long, not bad, just long. I came home one night and slept from basically 4:30pm to 3:00am. Pathetic, but nice and resting.

Slept through my alarm yesterday morning for work. I woke up at 4:45 very disoriented. I triped and fell into my closet, hah hah. Thank goodness all I had to do was change and pull my hair back. I leave my house at 4:45 to get there by 5:20, and yesterday I left at 5:05 and got there at 5:20. I had fixed my Epass the day before and was able to jump on the toll road and zoom to work to be on time (no speeding, don't worry)! It was a God thing that I woke up when I did. As much as sometimes I don't like going to work and sometimes hope to sleep through it, I know they are expecting me and I need the money! Responsibility...

I'm in Birmingham visiting Sarah! She had her 23rd birthday yesterday, and Pamela and I drove up 9 hours yesterday to see her. I worked yesterday, so we left after I got home. We got a later start, but we have arrived. I was up for 23.5 hours, except I did take a little cat nap in the car. We are going to go to the free botanical garden, walk around cute shops, and hit free museums. We are all about the cheap and fun things. Pamela and I have not been here, so we are excited to spend the weekend with out dear friend!!

I definately did not pack clothes for this weather. When I packed, in the back of my head I was thinking "cooler weather", but did I pack anything for it? No! I packed for Florida weather! It feels really nice outside and is 64 degrees. Tonight is a low of 44. Thankfully I threw in a last minute sweatshirt, so looks like I'll be wearing that all weekend. I wonder what her church thinks of jeans and a sweatshirt??

At least I can remember this when I'm sweating while sitting in 100% humidity in a few days.

It is so HOT in our house! Darn saving money techniques...

There is a wonderful thunderstorm outside.

The Office is on tonight.

The past few days I have been DVR-ing my favorite morning show, Fox and Friends, and watching it when I get home from work. What's wrong with that??

I am full time status now as an RN. No more GRN (grad nurse). I changed my badge today, so no one asks me what a gradute nurse resident is. I'm past my 90 probabtion which means: shift differentials of 1.5 hours every day I work, weekend differentials, overtime (hooray!), and full responsibility on my license. The last is a bit of a burden to think about. I have been anxious about my next step of where to work, but have prayed about it. Don't know where I'll go, but my good mom nurse in PACU has said she would help me review as needed and help me find a decent floor to work on. And she'll do it, she helped me get my job I have now!

Hey, All!
Its time for my weekly update!

Its October! I can't believe how fast time is going. Instead of measuring in semesters, I'm just doing months and they are flying!!! Next thing we know it will be Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Sadly, my holidays will be spent working. I work Thanksgiving Day, but have the weekend off. I work all around Christmas and New Year's Days, but have them off. And I'm on call both weekends. Looks like I will be spending my holiday around here!

I continue to get used to my job and feel comfortable in my role. I have started thinking about where to go next and the very idea frightens me. I had an anxiety attack thinking about where to go next and what am I going to do while I look/wait. I want to do something that is worthwhile while I move on up towardsa more critical nurse role. Yet still I feel as if I will have awhile to conquer just the basics. It looks like a long and daunting road, and I only want to be there yesterday. What I really want to do is just be a wife and mom, as many of you know. I've never had the dream to be a nurse, yet I don't know what the lesson is for my current time.

Aside from work, I have been watching only the cutest baby boy since my brother!!! Owen is the son of Ande and Kelly. Ande is the RUF minister at UCF, most of you know him. But keep them in your constant prayers as they are going through some tough things transitioning to parents and doing ministry. They two of some of the greatest people I know, and God is working through them. I am very thankful for their family and their great big, loveable dog!

My weekends are my own to sit around, sleep, go to the gym, or hang with roomies/friends. Mostly they consist of sleeping and sitting around. Lately they have been including gym time, as I am trying to get in shape yet again!

Well, its that BSF time again this week!
